Ubicloud is an open source cloud infrastructure project with a managed service that is growing its feature set. Today it covers VMs, managed Kubernetes (in preview), load balancers, and managed PostgreSQL. Three gaps matter for teams ready to deploy now: no managed Docker, no India region, and egress that carries a per-VM quota rather than a clean unlimited line.

A Mumbai region with DPDPA compliance and GA Kubernetes
Ubicloud operates in Germany (Hetzner) and the US (Virginia, Leaseweb). There is no India region. Teams building products for Indian users who need DPDPA data residency compliance cannot deploy on Ubicloud. Ubicloud Managed Kubernetes is available in preview in those two regions only.
Huddle01 Cloud operates a live Mumbai region delivering sub-20ms latency across India, with full DPDPA compliance and generally available Managed Kubernetes. Same dedicated AMD EPYC hardware, same unlimited egress, same pricing model as every other Huddle01 region. Ready for production today.

Managed Docker without a Kubernetes cluster.
Ubicloud offers managed Kubernetes as its container orchestration path, currently in preview. Teams that do not need the overhead of a full cluster have no lighter-weight option on Ubicloud today. Huddle01 Managed Docker fills that gap. Available alongside Managed Kubernetes for teams that need both.

Unlimited egress with no quota and no per-VM IPv4 charge.
Ubicloud includes 0.625 TB of egress per 2 vCPUs per month. Traffic beyond that is charged at $3 per TB. On top of instance pricing, each VM requires a public IPv4 address at $3 per month, billed per minute. For a team running 10 VMs, that is an additional $30 per month before egress overages are counted.
Huddle01 includes 10 Gbps unmetered egress and a public IPv4 address on all plans at no extra charge. No egress quota to track. No per-VM networking cost sitting outside the instance price. The pricing page is the invoice.

Production-ready cloud infrastructure on Huddle01-owned hardware.
Ubicloud is an open source cloud that runs on top of Hetzner and Leaseweb bare metal. This is part of what makes it portable and interesting. It also means the underlying hardware capacity and region footprint depend on those providers. As of early 2025, the managed service covers two regions.
Huddle01 Cloud runs on its own AMD EPYC hardware fleet, SOC 2 compliant across all regions. The reliability guarantee sits with Huddle01, not with an upstream bare metal provider. For teams that need a defined SLA, direct support, and a growing regional footprint, Huddle01 offers that today.
1
Virtual machines. Dedicated cloud server performance on dedicated AMD EPYC.
Every Huddle01 plan is a dedicated cloud server running on AMD EPYC vCPUs with DDR4 ECC registered memory and NVMe SSD storage. Bare metal cloud performance without bare metal management. Anton-2 through Anton-64 scale linearly. No shared-CPU burstable tier. Public IPv4 included on every plan.
2
Managed Kubernetes. Mumbai-ready, DPDPA-compliant, no control plane fee.
Huddle01 managed Kubernetes services are available across all regions including Mumbai with full DPDPA compliance. Kubernetes load balancer support is built in. No control plane fee, no node limits. Generally available today, unlike Ubicloud's Kubernetes which remains in preview in two regions.
3
Managed Docker. No Kubernetes required.
Huddle01 Managed Docker is the docker cloud runtime Ubicloud does not offer. Priced at $0.0084 per vCPU per hour and $0.00402 per GB per hour with no platform fee. Push your image, configure the service, it runs. Available alongside Managed Kubernetes for teams that need both.
4
Block storage. $6.07 per 100 GB. No retrieval fees.
Huddle01 block storage at $0.0000834/GB/hr — approximately $6.07 per 100 GB per month. No per-request fees, no tiered pricing, no storage class decisions. Ubicloud includes local NVMe storage with VMs but does not list a standalone elastic block storage service with separate pricing.
5
Application load balancer and cloud load balancing. SSL/TLS included.
Huddle01 load balancers handle cloud load balancing with SSL/TLS termination included at no add-on fee. Application load balancer for HTTP/HTTPS traffic. No per-certificate charge, no licensing fee. Ubicloud also offers a network load balancer at no extra charge.
6
AI Inference. Coming soon.
AI inference is on the Huddle01 roadmap, running on the same dedicated AMD EPYC infrastructure. Per-resource pricing, no GPU reservation minimums. Ubicloud offers inference endpoints on its managed cloud today.
