About Marut Drones
Marut Drones is India's first Multi-Utility Agriculture drone manufacturing company. It combines crop health monitoring, automated spraying, seed planting, and rural logistics into a single drone platform with 750+ drones deployed, 1,000+ drone pilots, 200+ team members, operations across 14 states, $2.7M in annual revenue and a $6.2M Series A to scale further.

The Problem: Large-Scale Data Ingestion is Expensive
Every drone generates hundreds of gigabytes of complex imaging data (GEO, TIFF, Orthomosaics, DTM, DSM, and 3D point clouds). Processing this at scale requires massive, elastic compute power.
Initially running on Google Cloud Platform, Marut hit two walls as they scaled:
Exorbitant compute markups at scale. Processing hundreds of gigabytes of complex imaging data per deployment requires massive, elastic compute power. On GCP, the cost of spinning up and maintaining these workloads compounded fast, and the bill kept climbing with every new state they expanded into.
Crippling data transfer costs. The egress and data transfer expenses associated with moving and processing these large volumes of data on traditional hyperscalers are substantial, compounding their monthly cloud bill.
The Solution: Unlimited Data Transfer & 3x Faster Compute
Marut Drones started by moving their most critical workloads to Huddle Cloud's BOM2 (Mumbai) region, Starting with Image analytics, geo-referenced data processing, and heavy compute jobs.
The result: Marut halved their cloud bill while efficiently managing peak deployment periods.
Zero egress costs. The BOM2 region comes with unlimited egress and up to ~5 Gbps of networking bandwidth, effectively reducing data transfer costs to zero.
NVMe & DDR4 advantage. Blazing-fast NVMe storage and high-performance DDR4 ECC memory enabled high IOPS, drastically reducing the time required to read, write, and process massive 3D point clouds. No more storage lag common on legacy cloud tiers.
3x workloads on the same compute. Marut migrated to Anton Instances, which are up to 3x more performant than hyperscaler alternatives. This allowed them to run more workloads on the exact same compute configuration, drastically lowering overall compute requirements.
"We've seen clear improvements in both performance and cost efficiency since migrating to Huddle01 Cloud from GCP."

What's Next: Full Migration to Huddle Cloud
Marut strategically moved their most performance-sensitive workloads to test the waters. After seeing consistent improvements in both cost and performance across their critical image analytics pipelines, Marut is now exploring a complete migration of all remaining workloads to Huddle Cloud in the coming weeks.
Trust was earned, not assumed. And that's exactly how we think cloud partnerships should work.

Bonus: Exploring Real-Time Streaming for Agriculture
Outside of core data ingestion, Marut Drones is also exploring opportunities to utilize Huddle Cloud for upcoming feature rollouts.
With plans to introduce live video feeds for agricultural monitoring and surveillance, Marut is exploring Huddle Cloud's RTC SDK. The SDK offers the ultra-low latency streaming required for real-time fleet monitoring and strict access management, enabling a new tier of product offerings for their customers.
