Media Nodes Sale Ends, Here's What's Next?

Huddle01’s dRTC network is a high throughput, low latency, and multipurpose network that facilitates real-time communications over cyberspace. This DePIN network is designed to provide performant, secure, and 95% cheaper borderless connectivity across applications in SocialFi, GameFi, the Metaverse, and decentralized AI.
Media Nodes supply bandwidth to power media such as real-time audio/video calls, streaming, and data streams, making them the most critical elements of the network.
To build a decentralized network of Media Nodes and distribute ownership of the network, we ran a Node Sales program.
Here are some key stats from our Phase 1 Node Sales program:
Nodes Sold: 2,150 nodes (including 1,569 during the Whitelist period)
Public Tier 1: Sold out
Public Tier 2: Only 114 nodes remaining.
Unique Node Holders: There are over 500 unique node holders, achieving 50-225% more decentralization compared to other contemporary node sales.
Overall, Phase 1 has been a highly organic success in dRTC’s path towards decentralization.
We saw a surge of interest when the Whitelist opened when 488 nodes were claimed within the first hour. Node demand dynamics have been organic, demonstrating that interest stems from a variety of disparate individuals across the world. A majority of these nodes were purchased by our community who know, use, and love our flagship products - Huddle01 Meet and FarHouse - which are powered by the dRTC network. This well-distributed interest aids greatly in achieving our goal of networking robustness through decentralization.
CoinDesk highlighted Huddle01’s mission to decentralize and enhance real-time communication, emphasizing the transformative potential of Media Nodes CryptoSlate spotlighted the opening of the Node Sale Whitelist, celebrating the community-driven success and the platform’s impressive milestones, such as hosting millions of minutes of video calls.

HUDL Tokenomics
The Huddle01 Network Token (“HUDL”) is the native protocol token of the dRTC Network. The economy employs a hyperorganic and dynamic mint & burn mechanism to capture value from all real-world demand of the network’s services, including from B2B enterprise contracts, and reflect this value within the HUDL economy. Tokens are minted to reward Media Nodes, while tokens are burned in proportion to value generated from dRTC’s sales revenue.

21% of TGE Supply (42 million HUDL) is allocated to Media Node rewards on the Incentivized Testnet.
Media Node ownership unlocks myriad exclusive privileges
Enter the dRTC ecosystem at a discounted FDV
Compared to the true current FDV of $100M, Media Nodes may be purchased at a discounted FDV starting from $70M. We’ve deliberately applied a 30% discount to our FDV to enable small players to enter and build a decentralized dRTC ecosystem.
Ultra-early liquidity
Running a Media Node is the only way to unlock significant early liquidity of HUDL tokens at TGE as a private individual. Phase 1 Media Nodes get a 20% TGE unlock. This is in contrast to the vesting offered to Team and Investors who have no TGE unlock, but instead have a 1 year cliff after TGE before their tokens begin to vest.
Node ownership = Fractional network ownership
Owning a Media Node is akin to owning the means of production on the dRTC network, thereby contributing to a true free market of connectivity prosumers. Indeed, owning a Media Node is equivalent to fractional ownership of the dRTC network. And all future developments on the dRTC will aim to reinforce this, such as governance mechanisms to shape the protocol, and more.
Node ownership systematically empowers community
In contrast to a token sale, node ownership enables the community to build the network - and hold and exercise tangible power in the ecosystem through the ownership of the supply side. The dRTC network is built through community-powered infrastructure.

Node Airdrops to Scammed Huddlers
AUnfortunately, a handful of our community members fell victim to scams and phishing attacks. We strive to offer our community the most positive experience with Huddle01 and dRTC. In that spirit, we will airdrop an equivalent number of nodes to each Huddler with proof of payment.
Rebates for Whitelist Tier 3, 4, 5 buyers
Huddlers who purchased nodes in Tiers 3, 4, and 5 during the Whitelist sale will receive a rebate equivalent to the difference between their purchasing price, and the node price at the end of the Node Sale. Rebates will be processed and disbursed during the Node Claim Window Dec 6 - 31, 2024.
Referral rewards, KOL commissions, and other previously earned rewards will be processed during the Node Claim Window period, Dec 6 - 31, 2024.
Incentivized Testnet for Media Nodes
To bootstrap the dRTC supply network, we’re launching an Incentivized Testnet. Running a Media Node enables you to earn rewards for powering connectivity via the network. This testnet program enables all Media Node key holders to earn up to 5 HUDL/day with a simple reward function that only requires good uptime and low latency.
21% of Huddle01’s TGE is allocated to Media Nodes on the Incentivized Testnet: On the Incentivized Testnet, Media Nodes earn from the Media Node TGE Allocation pool, which represents 21% of Huddle01’s TGE Supply. On Mainnet, Media Nodes earn newly minted tokens based on the amount and quality of service they supply to the dRTC network, thus making them eligible to earn more. The mainnet token dynamics ensures that Media Nodes own an ever-growing slice of the pie in the HUDL economy.
Earn $HUDL on the Incentivized Testnet: All nodes that participate in the Incentivized Testnet are eligible to earn up to 5 $HUDL/day. Nodes may also receive reward boosts from Node Burning and token reallocations from any leftover funds in the 21% Media Node TGE Allocation pool. All of these means serve to increase Media Node rewards to above the 5 HUDL/day base reward.
Get ultra-early access to liquidity: Node ownership is the only mechanism to unlock significant early liquidity as a private individual. Phase 1 Media Nodes unlock 20% of their earnings at TGE.
Be eligible for exclusive early adopter airdrops: Early adopters of the dRTC network are eligible to receive airdrops, reward boosts, and points through various programs. These may be earned by contributing to the Huddler community, growing the community via referrals, healthy product usage of Huddle01 Meet or Farhouse, or completing a variety of challenges on our points programs.
What’s next for Reserved Nodes?
Node Burn: Node Burn will burn unclaimed nodes from the reserve. As a after effect, existing claimed nodes may receive reward boosts, beyond the base 5 HUDL/day base reward.
Airdrop for Huddlers: The Huddler community stand to receive not only token airdrops, but also node airdrops for engagement and active community contributions, thus maximizing their $HUDL returns. Nodes will also be distributed in future AMAs.
Access to Node Ownership for future buyers: Nodes will be available for purchase to select value-aligned VC’s. These purchases serve to further increase the value of the Huddle01 node, thus earlier node buyers enjoy price appreciation on their nodes.
